St night I read to my 8 and 10 year old boys. I have, in my house, three full size bookcases packed so full of novels that even with that much space I'm stacking them sideways on top of each other to fit them in. I've read, out loud, the entire Harry Potter series, The Dragonlance trilogy that I loved when I was a kid, and the Ultimate Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy as well as all kinds of teen novels. It is a horror story, but it won't make look behind your back or jump out of your seat the scaring level in this novel is acceptable. I didn't buy the first book in the series yet, but I am eager to read it. It keeps you wondering about the missing boy and girl and hope that the story's hero will find them soon. In the game, you have to hide and outsmart your scary neighbor, which is really hard, but in this story, we have characters, conflict, problems, depth, and a realistic atmosphere. I searched for videos about the game, and it is straightforward compared to the events in this novel. I like the fact that this novel is based on a video game.
